Why We Need YOU
Freedom Transit is more than a rail project — it’s a movement to connect communities, reduce highway congestion, and drive economic growth across the Mountain West. By linking Salt Lake City and Boise with fast, reliable, and sustainable rail service, we’re creating new opportunities for families, businesses, and entire cities.
But we can’t do it alone. We need community members, local leaders, and forward-thinking supporters to help demonstrate strong public demand. Your voice and support are critical as we seek Federal Railroad Administration approval to bring this vision to life
Donate
The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) looks for clear evidence of local and regional support when reviewing new rail projects. Even a donation of $1 serves as tangible proof that individuals believe in Freedom Transit’s mission and are willing to take action. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps demonstrate public demand and strengthens our case for approval.
Building Strong Partnerships
Freedom Transit is committed to working hand-in-hand with trusted regional agencies, including the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and the Idaho Department of Transportation (IDOT), as well as local governments and community organizations.
By aligning our efforts, we can create a unified, efficient transportation network that complements existing services, supports regional growth, and offers seamless travel options for residents and businesses alike.
Your support will help demonstrate to these agencies — and to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) — that there is strong public demand for integrated, modern rail service between Salt Lake City and Boise. Together, we can drive innovation, economic opportunity, and sustainable growth across the Mountain West.

“I founded Freedom Transit not just to build a rail line, but to forge connections that our region has long needed. Transportation is more than infrastructure — it’s the backbone of opportunity, growth, and the ties that bind communities together.
Our mission is to offer a new standard of mobility that respects the environment, strengthens local economies, and makes the future accessible to everyone, not just the few.
Progress comes not from waiting for permission, but from uniting vision with action — and with the support of our community, Freedom Transit will prove what’s possible when forward-thinking people work together.”

Economic Potential
According to FRED, the Salt Lake City metropolitan area has a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of approximately $120 billion.
Even a modest 1% increase in regional GDP — driven by job creation, improved mobility, business growth, and tourism — would generate $1.2 billion in new economic activity per year. -that’s just Salt Lake City.
Over just five years, that’s $6 billion in potential growth, surpassing the estimated $4 billion investment required to build Freedom Transit.

Let’s work together on creating Salt Lake City and Boise’s most ambitious project yet
Freedom Transit isn’t just about building a rail line — it’s about connecting communities, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of transportation in the Mountain West. Whether you’re a resident, a business leader, or a public official, your voice and support can help turn this bold vision into a reality.
